Regular Meeting Minutes

September 14th, 2020

Mayor Brunk started the meeting at 7pm. Roll was called. Alderman Pratt, Bowman, Wulf, and Cox were present. Alderman French and Behrends were not present. The agenda was presented to the council. Alderman Pratt made a motion to approve the agenda and Alderman Wulf seconded. Motion carried unanimously. The August minutes were reviewed. Alderman Wulf made a motion to approve the August minutes and Alderman Bowman seconded. Motion carried unanimously. Monthly bills were reviewed and Alderman Wulf made a motion to approve monthly bills, Alderman Pratt seconded. Motion carried unanimously.

Treasurer’s Report

Treasurer Barrett stated that he has reviewed comparisons between this year and last year’s income. The state income down $4272.93 and video gaming is down $10770.38. The total revenue are slightly above budget. On income side of things we are fine. The personnel is under budget. Total sales tax for the month was $10173.24 and there were no proceeds from video gaming. Personnel under budget.

Monthly Reports, Board Reports, and Aldermanic Reports were not given this month

Attorneys Report

Attorney stated that his report was submitted on Friday and he wasn’t sure that it was submitted in time
for the packet to be distributed. Attorney states that there is not much to report. There is supposed to be a hearing on a property maintenance case, the owner stated that she has had offers on the property. She will need to make a decision pretty soon if she is going to accept the offer or fix/demolish the property. The owner has until October 20th• Attorney stated that we will be working on the property
maintenance issue on an abandoned trailer. Mayor stated that he got the pictures that were requested and the chief will get the violation papers to the attorney this week.

New Business

A. Employee Health Insurance

The Mayor stated that the city will be going to the 2000 H.S.A. plan. It will be a tier 4 level which increases the deductible. There will be a $2000 H.S.A. deposit. With nothing further to discuss, Alderman Pratt made a motion to approve the proposed employee health insurance plan, and Alderman Cox seconded. Motion carried unanimously.

We need to get a date set for city wide clean up in October. McClure said the same as last year. Mayor said we will put it on the website.

With nothing further to discuss at 7:17pm, Alderman Cox made a motion to adjourn the regular meeting and Alderman Wulf seconded. Motion carried unanimously.
